RiSSC, within the framework of the project eMORE – Monitoring and Reporting online hate speech, is organising an international workshop which will take place in Brussels on 3 May 2018.
The workshop is aimed at promoting a co-ordinated approach to detecting and notifying online hate speech – also through the use of technology.
Representatives from LEAs, NGOs, CSOs, IT companies and other key actors will discuss opportunities and challenges of using the tools developed by the project (crawler & app) to support the monitoring and detection of online hate speech.
More broadly, the discussion will focus on the role of technology and artificial intelligence on research and analysis of hate speech online, as well as on how to strengthen synergies and build coalitions for a more effective knowledge-based response to this phenomenon.
